The 70 cm bass gun
I find it frustrating using a 90 cm speargun in the muck simply because my 75 is just not powerful enough to shoot a 40 pound bass. So I made a two band 70 cm speargun with a stubby 7mm shaft.
The handle is my best work yet. The gun is made entirely of Iroko. I used 316 stainless for the mechanism. The sheer is 3/16 thick and about 2 inches long! Total overkill.

First coat of epoxy. I'm testing the gun tomorrow. I'll see how much balast I need.
Tested! I put a lot of lead in the handle. The mussle is already pretty neutral but I'll ad some lead in front also in order to make it neutral in salt water (it is going to be a striper gun after all). It shoots pretty straight. I have not had the chance to try long shots (the gun was not intented for that but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised).

Notice the retro trigger guard!

Testing the gun... not really!
