This is one hell of a complicated assortment of pieces of wood (16 strips of iroko in all, 7 just for the handle). Again it's not the sort of gun you would want to mass produce. It uses a very smooth casette that I built a while back. That's somewhat of a novelty since I usually put the mech directly in the stock.

You will notice that it has a line release on the side. It's not my favorite setting but since I plan to use a reel with this gun it was the most practical solution. To say nothing of the difficulty of making a real bottom line release while using a casette type mechanism.

I made sure that the handle and the bands were in line with the spear. You will see that the stock is quite wide but it's side profile is minimal to say the least.
